Moment of the Week

We had a busy week.  Thank goodness it's coming to an end.  Nate and I volunteered to work a pumpkin patch to get some of our volunteer hours for hockey taken care of.

And we carved our pumpkins.

I'm happy to note, the older he gets the less mess pumpkin carving is.

I'm excited to share Nate's costume!
Check back tomorrow!

Picking Pumpkins

Yesterday afternoon we went to Spearfish to the corn maze and pumpkin patch.

It was a sunny perfect day.
We made it through the maze pretty easily getting all 8 stamps!
I think after how terribly we got lost last year we took the map much more seriously.

Nate loves the hay jump.  There are mattresses under all that hay.

This year they had horse races.
I had never seen these bouncing things, but we want three.

It was such a nice afternoon.

We spent awhile in the pumpkin patch picking out the pumpkins we wanted.

It took me the longest. But the boys were very patient.

There was a little corn hole and cider to top off the day.

It was a great day.

Moment of the Week

Beautiful fall weather.

Nate was presented with his orange belt

In the past year he has made two belts, and we are so proud of him!

Boy Stuff

Since dad got home there have been lots of boy things going on around here.

Getting to go out with Dad and Bonnie.

Dad taking him to practice shooting.

Dave went back to work today.
It was so nice having him around, but I am looking forward to a new 'normal' routine.

A Break

Having two people here to parent is so much better than one!
Like yesterday when my neighbor stopped by to see if I could go with her to Elton John.
I was like.... ABSOLUTELY!

Not worrying about how long I was out, was AMAZING!
The concert was AMAZING!
And I've been singing Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting all morning!
Nate has been looking at me funny.
