the pirate's booty

Nothing shocked Nate more than walking up to some people and them giving him candy! They dropped a couple pieces in the pumpkin bucket, and his mouth dropped open! Then we went to another house, and they did it again!

After the candy deposits he would exclaim with shock and joy!

A few houses in he would walk up knock, and shake the bucket.
A few dozen houses later his bucket was full and he was asking us to carry it for him. It was too heavy for him!

Nate Sings a song

Moment of the Week

our pumpkins

Nate really got in there to help with his pumpkin this year!

Sorry this moment of the week is a bit late. Our home has been in a whirlwind with Dave working long shifts, missing dinner, and me trying to keep up and get ahead around the house. I do have a few videos I will post soon. I think this week will afford me a little extra time to post :)

Hope you have a Happy Halloween! I'm sure we will have photos on Monday!

Looking up .... about 13 hours up....

Things are all out of whack right now since Dave is still gone.
But here is something that makes me happy.

1. This time when we move we get to take our plants! I am so glad about this. My shamrock plant is impressive, and I'm anxious to see his dormant phase. Every time I think he might be heading for his break, he pops back up with more pretty flowers and more big huge leaves. My jade is getting so big she can't hold herself up anymore. I need to google what to do now since this is my first. The pineapple makes me happy, and I'm training the monster there to grow up.
2. Along with our plants we get to take our vacuum, mop, broom, laundry and dish detergents, hand soaps, tin foil, cling wrap, spices, and pantry foods. Do you know what a waste of $$$$ it is to have to replace these things?! HUGE HUGE HUGE
3. After much googling, we have found Rapid City is equip with Kohls, Cabelas, Target, Childrens Place, Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, Toys R Us, a real mall and plenty of other establishments. Yeah you read right CABELAS. There isn't a joann fabric but there is a holo, and plenty of awesome quilt shops. My strip teasers friend C. told me she went fabric shopping in Rapid City and she said I am going to love it.
Heck that was 3 things that are making me happy!( p.s. just incase you are confused, in the title I meant looking up to Rapid City which is almost straight up, about 13 hours drive)

Moment of the week

FAT LIP.
a funny thing from this morning:
Nate: Shaking his empty sippy cup at me, "Bub, Bub, Bub!"
Me: "Nate just set it down I'll get it later"
Nate: "No. Bub!"
Me: big sigh. I walk over and take the empty cup from his majesty, since obviously it is beneath him to consume his cereal with an empty cup in his presence. Big sigh again.
Nate: HUGE GRIN "what do you say?"
Me: rolls eyes. "Thanks a lot"
I had no idea he was so informed on manners.
