Let's GO
Today without consulting the father figure, I decided I would like to take Nate to a football game while we are visiting the mitten. I would have consulted him, but he was at work, and then he would be sleeping, and I would have had to wait until lunchtime tomorrow.... But that seemed like too long to wait. I happened to check out the games available while we are in the Great Lakes State, and the seats were skimpy, and pricey, so I thought I better hurry up. I found some willing peoples to attend with us and bought em up.
After I got through the stressful Ticketmaster checkout,(that clock freaks me out) I told Nate, "We are going to see a football game!" He squeals, and is excited.
I look over a few minutes later, and he is standing next to me with 4 cars and a train in his hand, and he said, "Okay! Let's go!"
I tell him, "oh, no Nate, we aren't going until we drive to Michigan."
He looks at me like I'm dense, and says, "Yeah, get in car. We go to Michigan and see football game!"
He looks at me like I'm dense, and says, "Yeah, get in car. We go to Michigan and see football game!"
I showed him the calender of the months we have to wait for Dave to come home, and where the football game is, and he got pretty bummed. Everyday he gets more and more excited about this trip to Michigan to see Grandma and Grandpa. Today while skyping with Dave he wanted to tell his Dad all the people he will see in Michigan. He listed grandma and grandpa, race car grandma, then hollered to me in the kitchen to remind him of all the other people so he could tell Dave. It was really cute.
Hopefully, soon Nate will be able to have a little more understanding of time.

Back
Its back to being just me and Nate. Our company headed home today. It was a fun weekend. Nathan had a blast. This video was taken at the super park onbase.
Also back, are these bath toys of Nate's. I was thinking of how boring bath-time is lately, so I thought I would give Nate some of his old bath toys. Most were still clean and in a bag from our move. Nate gave each one of them a hug and kiss tonight...except for the dragon, he hasn't been away.
The roads and cars had been taken away, because the supervisor of bath-time never picked them up, and the cleaner of the bathtub always got ticked off to have to stop and pick up 20 things before she could clean in there. But I, acting as temp. supervisor of bath-time, requires that Nate puts away all of the toys before he gets out. So its not really a problem now :)
Nate had a great time in bath tonight.

Sandbox Salutations wk 7
FUN IN THE SUN!
So this week I got a package from Sandy, Sean, Sue and Saxon (don't you just love that name). I opened it but apparently I did not see the huge "HAPPY BIRTHDAY".
So I opened it a little early, sorry. But inside was a lot of goodies.
There was a few magazines, some swedish fish, a smores candy packet. But the biggest hit was by far the pack of water guns. I opened them up almost immediately, and the water gun fight had begun. At first it was just a few of us Crew Chiefs messing around in the parking lot, but it quickly spilled over to the flightline and involved us doing driveby's on unsuspecting people from the other career fields, which quickly turned into acts of retaliation by dumping bottles of water on us. It got to the point where I had to keep a gun loaded in the truck with me
You can see it there on the middle console, right on top of my sunscreen.
But thank you to the Haley Family for providing a little bit of fun to our day.
Lucy Update.
She's still MIA, somewhere in the vehicle repair yard.

Hurry Home
I thought this jacket was cute, so I decided to try it on Nathan at the store, I picked up a 4T because I just did, and it fit him. I whimpered out loud. Its roomy, but I expected it to be WAY too roomy, and it isn't. Dave you better hurry home, he is growing too fast! He is eating 2 refills of cereal every morning, and every last bite of lunch, and almost all of dinner. He's going to keep growing!
And we missed you at Armadillo's tonight, where we both got baby cones, and I was harassed by a bee. Then a storm rolled in, and we had lots to watch on the drive home, but Nate fell asleep for a bit, so he is probably going to stay up late driving me nuts!
And once we got home there was a double rainbow... I would love to keep the front door open and let the smell of rain, and sound of thunder go into the night, but I had to shut the door, because I'm too afraid an ax murderer will walk right in!
...that is of course, if he didn't sneak in earlier and is hiding behind the shower curtain!
