I just got home from Bingo. It was a lot of fun! I think I will try to make a habit of getting out to play Bingo. I also started that Paint by number tonight I think it will look nice when I am finished. Well, guess thats all I really have to say. Ha.

Drew and Mike

I don't think I have laughed this much in weeks. I was listening to a radio show from home tonight since there was nothing on TV, and I am feeling less homesick. I always feel less homesick after listening to Drew and Mike on WRIF. They are funny guys sometimes crude but I enjoy them a lot. But tonight they were talking to a Doctor that is out to put an end to stinky farts. It was more than entertaining. You know how sometimes you laugh so hard it puts you in a totally different mood for hours.

I am off to bed now. Feeling happy. Hopefully I can sleep tonight. Last night I laid awake for hours. It was upsetting. I didn't fall asleep until after 3 am but I didn't sleep in late so I feel tired. I hope that I can sleep easy tonight.

Its only Saturday.

I went to the movies today. I went to see Charlotte's Web. It was great. I thought it was really funny for a kids movie. Getting out of the house this afternoon was the highlight of week. I think Law and Order's new season starts tonight so that will add even more excitement to my life.

I read the first Little house book this week.... Little House in the Big Woods. I have never read the books before. They are really cute. Melissa decided to read them also since she read them back in like 3rd grade or something like that. I started Little House on the Prairie the other night. The library on base has all of the books so I don't have to buy them!!

Well, its dinner time and I am hungry. I didn't eat lunch today. We had a pretty big earthquake and I was standing during it and it made me queasy. Felt seasick like.

Ohhhh.. Its only Wednesday. The days just creep by. Nothing fun going on. Cleaning and quilting almost fill my days. I'm tired but I can't sleep. Snow on the ground is pretty to look at. Its cold inside. I hate being left home.

I am glad it is the end of the weekend finally. They are so long when I am home alone and Melissa doesn't get online on Sundays and Mondays. I did take myself out to a movie on Saturday. I went to see Flicka. It was a really nice movie. I stopped at the PO on my way home and got a package from Joann.com and a new magazine. I have got a bunch of things done around the house. Today I finished up a couple of projects. Tomorrow I have to go to town to pick up a few things. Trying to keep myself busy without finishing everything in the first week Dave is gone. I have plenty of books to get into if that happens.
Well... guess its off to bed for me. Just like that song I can't sleep very well. Hope tonight isn't as bad as last night. Take care all!

Home alone again... Seems like this has been happening a lot since we moved to Misawa. Dave called this afternoon. They arrived in Hawaii safe and sound. He wasn't sure what they are going to do since they only have one day there. I am sure they will find something fun to do. He said he would call when he arrived in his final destination.
I got a lot done today. I had to drive off base and pay our car payment. Then I went to the 100 yen store. I bought a few things I needed. Once I got back to base I decided to stop at the BX to see if they had some thread. The knock-off concessionaire was there and I got a knock-off Burberry bag. I am really happy. I like it a lot. In the BX I bought some thread and a paint by number. I have never tried a paint by number and it was on clearance so I figured it was something to do. I have 3 weeks alone to spend somehow. hehe.. I will let you know how it turns out when I get around to doing it. I stopped at the PO box and one of my orders from Amazon arrived. Really early too... it was a really nice surprise. I ordered the first three movies from the Love Comes Softly series. I like the books so much I am really excited about watching the movies.
This afternoon I worked on my quilt for a few hours. I got a lot done! I finished the top and I got it pinned. I think I will start quilting it next week. I was really surprised I was able to finish the top today. Kate and Leopold (one of my favorite movies) was on this afternoon while I was working on it so it made the time go quickly.

Hope everyone had a really great New Years. We did. The Maraschino Cherry Cake I made was really great. On New Years Day the meal turned out really well. That French Onion Soup was really delicious. Everything was wonderful.
Dave had Tuesday off so we took care of stuff around the house. I cleaned up the Christmas Decorations and Dave packed his suitcases. He had to take his suitcases in with him to work this morning so they could be packed in the plane. He is really excited about spending Friday in HAWAII! I am pretty jealous.
I have a bunch of things to do before Melissa visits and hopefully I will have enough time. eek!
