Beale AFB, CA (its a UAV base, which means Dave would be deployed all the time to Iraq or Afghanistan) about 45 miles from Sacramento
Creech AFB, NV (its a UAV base, which means Dave would be deployed all the time to Iraq or Afghanistan) about 35 miles from Las Vegas
Holloman AFB, NM 219 miles south of Albuquerque, NM Less than 100 miles from MEXICO :(
Cannon AFB, NM 218 miles east of Albuquerque, NM (THIS IS AN F-16 BASE, we thought it was closed and all f-16 crew chiefs and their wives gave a great sigh of relief... well what a nasty trick)
Edwards AFB, CA 100 miles north of Los Angeles(THIS IS AN F-16 BASE)
Mountain Home AFB, Idaho... 45 miles south of Boise(THIS IS AN F-16 BASE)
Nellis AFB, NM... Very near Las Vegas (11 miles)(THIS IS AN F-16 BASE)
Seymour Johnson AFB, NC 60 miles from Raleigh. 226 miles from Charlotte
Tyndall AFB, FL In Panama City ( we oh so want this base.. but there is only 1 single opening.....Booo we don't have that kind of luck)

Today is Wendy's 4th birthday!! We miss her so much! Can't wait to see her in a few months.
Today we got crap news. The listing of base openings came out. This is the list they will chose our next assignment from. BOOOOOOO. They SUCK big time! We really really don't want to go back to the desert. Here is the list. Not all of them are F-16 bases... so some of them we hadn't heard of. A couple we thought had closed! I'm going to post a poll. Which base do you hope we get?

Since we got the list yesterday we have been looking into the base in NC, which is a F-15 base we had never considered. It seems like this would really be a great choice for us. Its so close to home(less than a day's drive). Dave's friend Rob lives less than 4 hours away from the base. My close cousin Erin lives near Atlanta which would be pretty close. The area around the base has all the things we could hope for(meaning the basic American conveniences that we have been craving during our time in Japan). We looked up travel costs... Can you imagine?! Flights to Detroit are $150 round trip! It would cost us 300 bucks to go home instead of 3,000!!! Flight time 2 hours instead of 12.....

Well, you know Marc and I would want you to live out West somewhere... but we'd love to visit N. Carolina to see you guys. We can't wait to see where you guys go!
