Hello Everyone!  Did you vote?  I don't know about you, but man, I cannot wait until the elections are over!  I am so sick of the fighting.






Dave is still working 12s and a 1/2 day on Sat.  I cannot wait until the big inspection is over.  I think Dave is kind of excited about working on a new aircraft.  A little nervous but excited.  I don't think he ever thought he would change planes.  Maybe from 16s to 15s, but the idea of the UAV is really blowing his mind.  He looked up the gaining squadron, and he said there isn't anyone there yet.  It must be brand new. If you don't know what the UAV Predator looks like I am posting a photo.  Dave said when they deploy they take apart the plane and pack it in a box and fly with it.  LOLOLOL  This is a very strange concept.  But the relief of crewing a plane without a pilot must be huge. 
Most of the time when people hear we are going to Cannon they bow their heads and mumble apologies as if we were speaking of a death in the family instead of an assignment.  Cannon definitely has a bad reputation. We have looked up the local area and it could be much worse.  Clovis has a Wendy's and Sonic, and the shopping things we have been missing.  We can adjust to anything really, we've lived in Japan for 4 years, and enjoyed 3 of the 4 years so that says something.  LOL 
I bought my turkey the other day... Their variety usually goes fast and all that's left is really huge or really tiny, so I got my medium bird.  LOL  Our last Thanksgiving in Japan!! Can't wait!   Have you bought your bird yet?  What size do you usually get?

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you all!  Nathan is a giraffe for his first Halloween.  Last night I was carving the pumpkin and every time I put the knife in the pumpkin he laughed!! 

It is growing super chilly.  Today I saw that the mountain tops are snow covered.  I am making a nice pot of Beef and Cabbage Stew tonight.  I believe its posted in the recipes.  Its wonderful on a chilly Halloween night.

We went to have our photo taken yesterday and Nathan wouldn't smile in any of them!  That stinker!  I hope they turn out nice.  Its the first time we have had a family photo taken.

The assignments listing came out the other day.  We will be going to Cannon AFB, in Clovis, New Mexico.  This is pretty much the worst case scenario for us.  We are very upset.

Today is Wendy's 4th birthday!!  We miss her so much!  Can't wait to see her in a few months. 

Today we got crap news.  The listing of base openings came out.  This is the list they will chose our next assignment from.  BOOOOOOO.  They SUCK big time!  We really really don't want to go back to the desert.  Here is the list.  Not all of them are F-16 bases... so some of them we hadn't heard of. A couple we thought had closed!  I'm going to post a poll.  Which base do you hope we get?

8 months old!

Nathan is 8 months old today!  He is getting so big.  On the crawling front he figures something new out everyday... Yesterday it was pulling the phone cord.... Today he can dump out all the toys.  What fun, he can pick out which toy he wants to play with... before Dave or I chose toys out of the bins.  Freedom!  He holds his bottle when he eats! Today when I took his photo I had to put the camera in Sport mode.  LOL I swear changing and getting an eight month old dressed should be part of the rodeo!

Burrrrr

Its been chilly in Misawa.  I heard the steam clunking around this morning so maybe they turned on the heat.  Nathan thinks is funny when I have slippers on my feet.  He is such a riot.  He is crawling like crazy.  He usually just moves around the living room.  But I think he is starting to realize he can go anywhere!  He is really good at going from crawling to sitting, and sitting on his knees.  He can pull himself up to stand using furniture.  Yesterday I went in to get him after his nap and he was standing up in his crib holding on to the rail, and when I found him he started laughing.  We've been working on saying momma.  He says.. mamama.  LOL.
