We had an exciting day today. We had organic blueberry pancakes this morning.
Can you tell he was sneaking a few berries???
Nathan pooped on the potty again today, and while we were shopping, he remembered to tell us when he had to go potty! Once at the fabric store, and once at Best Buy. (And if you notice the smiley face band aid on his tush, he had a potty dismount incident. But he isn't traumatized)
We finally replaced our jalopy of a laptop today. Its very nice to have a functioning computer. We bought an all in one computer. Nathan really enjoys the touch screen coloring!
We are still glued to the news coverage of the devastation in Japan. We have heard bits and pieces about the area where we lived. One friend talked to a friend still in Misawa, who was on the bullet train with 15 teens going to Tokyo for a track meet when the earthquake hit. They were on the BULLET train when it derailed! But everyone was fine. Talk about scary.
Every time we had a quake while we were in Misawa I prayed we wouldn't be there for the "big one", and I'm really glad we weren't. But it is so hard to watch and know how many Americans are up there scared out of their minds no doubt. And to think of all of the kind wonderful Japanese that obviously didn't survive is just heart wrenching.
